Die Arracht stammen nicht von Midgard. Sie sind eine uralte Rasse, die vom Anarchen als Diener geschaffen wurden. Dieser floh vor seinen Widersachern nach Midgard und nahm die übrig gebliebenen Arracht mit.[1]

Sie brachten die das Wissen um die Manipulation des Magan und damit die wissenschaftliche Zauberei nach Midgard.[2]

Auf Midgard arbeiteten die Arracht eng mit den Vorfahren der Elfen, den Sithionar, zusammen, bis sich die Sithionar vom Anarchen abwandten und Krieg gegen sie führte. Nach dem Niedergang des Anarchen und langen Kämpfen zogen Teile der Arracht in entlegenere Ecken Midgards zurück.

Die endgültige Niederlage gegen die Elfen und Menschen führte zur Vernichtung der Reiche und Stützpunkte der Arracht und zum Zweiten Kataklysmus.

Ihr letztem verborgenen Städte liegen angeblich in den Wüsten Eschars und Arans, in Buluga und den Eisöden von Tuomela.
